This is a time of great danger for Cuba. The US indictment of Raúl Castro marks a serious escalation towards military aggression by the Trump administration.
As Cubans brace for the possibility of invasion, the Canadian Network on Cuba calls upon not just the Canadian government but all peace-loving people to stand up for Cuban sovereignty and against US attacks.
So far, the Carney government has been entirely silent on Cuba outside of a dribble of humanitarian aid, and Canada’s travel advisories and airline cancellations have played an active part in the economic asphyxiation of the Cuban people.
As the US economic war continues and Trump threatens an illegal invasion, we must raise the banner across the country: the peoples of the world must join forces to defend Cuba’s sovereignty against US imperialism.
