The Government of Canada has made a decision to appoint its embassy in Havana as a mission without accompanying family members, as a result, as has been stated, of the symptoms of health involvement reported by some of its diplomats in 2017. |

On April 18, Cuba’s newly elected National Assembly of People’s Power, the island’s parliament, will inaugurate a new sitting of legislators, the Constituent Session of the 9th Legislature. Guided by the mandate bestowed by the people of Cuba, the National Assembly will initiate a new stage in the history of the Cuban Revolution and the Cuban nation. With the election of a new president and Council of State, the revolutionary torch will be passed from the historic generation that made the Cuban Revolution to the new generations born during and within the revolution. |
