TeleSUR, March 19, 2016 - The son of the revolutionary leader said Obama appears intelligent and sensitive, but he doubts the intentions of an imperialist country. The eldest son of revolutionary leader Ernesto "Che" Guevara has expressed mixed feelings ahead of Barack Obama’s visit to Cuba on March 20, the first of a U.S. president in 88 years. “It’s a historic and very important visit. It’s the first time a U.S. president will visit an independent Cuba,” Guevara said to the Guardian adding that the U.S. remains an empire.

Speaking during a press conference offered to national and international media in Havana, Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez referred to the recent amendments announced by the U.S. Departments of the Treasury and Commerce and the upcoming visit by President Barack Obama.
On March 15, the Departments of the Treasury and of Commerce issued new regulations that modify the implementation of some aspects of the US blockade against Cuba.
