6th Congress of the Communist Party of Cuba Begins Print

From April 16-19, 2011 the Communist Party of Cuba is meeting to consolidate the task of improving and perfecting the country's socialist system. More than 1,000 delegates were elected across the island to participate in these deliberations. At the centre of the 6th Congress will be discussion and debate of the public document Economic and Social Policy Guidelines of the Draft Party Program.

From December 1, 2010 to February 28, 2011, this document was discussed and debated by more than eight million Cubans in more than 163,000 meetings.
